Fall is in full swing and Thanksgiving is on its way! I am not one to skip this delicious holiday and I believe it deserves its rightful spot on the calendar for no other reason than gratitude is always a great practice. Yet so often Thanksgiving is rushed through and we barely get the time to slow down to think about all of the things we are grateful for. Let's take a moment to pause during this busy season, paint a card and think about all of the things we are grateful for. Lionel Hampton said that, "Gratitude is when memory is stored in the heart and not in the mind. " This is the perfect quote to help inspire us as we paint! Let's Get Started!!

Supplies Needed:

Paint
Water
Paint Brushes
Paper
Tape
Paper Towel
Process:
STEP 1: Prepare Card
Grab a piece of water color paper and fold it in half. Place your tape in the desired position on the front of your card. Sketch your leaves, making sure to drawing parts of some of the leaves over the tape.
STEP 2: Let's Paint
Grab a #6 watercolor brush or any size brush you wish to use and dip it into clean water. Fill in your leaves with clean water and then proceed to drop in fall colors and let the water color paint do its magic!
STEP 3: Outline Leaves
Let the paint dry completely. Once it is dry Use a fine line marker to outline your leaves and if you choose to, also trace around the tape to create text boxes.
STEP 4: Write Greeting
Remove the tape and fill in any last details. Use the blank space to write the greeting: FALL of Gratitude. Sign your card and share with someone you love!
