Supplies Needed:

Watercolor Paper - cut and folded into your desired card size
Pencil & Eraser - For sketching
Watercolor Paint:
Neon or light Pink
Neon or light Green
Black
Marker or Pen - To write the Greeting: You are One in a Melon
Steps to Create the Watermelon Design:
Sketching the Watermelon - Lightly draw a rough outline of a watermelon with a pencil on the watercolor paper. Include the outer rind and make sure to leave room to write the greeting.
Adding the Pink Flesh - Start by covering the flesh in clean water. Add neon or light pink paint to the top of you drawing create the flesh. Pull the paint down until it leaves a thin white border between the green rind and pink flesh.
Painting the Outer Rind- Use a neon or light green watercolor to fill in the outer rind section. Clean your brush and with clean water drag out the green paint to meet the flesh of your watermelon.
Including the Seeds- Using Black paint add in your watermelon seeds. You can do this while the pink is still wet or wait until it dries. Vary the seed sizes and spacing for a more natural look.
Incorporating the Greeting- Write the greeting ,'You are One in a Melon" in the designated section. I wrote around the watermelon, but you can choose to write yours however you see fit! Use a fine-tip marker or pen and a complementary color to make the text stand out. I chose black to compliment the seeds.
Finishing Touches:

Allow the paint to dry completely.
Feel free to add more details; a watercolor background or some splatter!
Make sure to sign your name and share your card with friend or loved one!
